Management Information dashboards

Challenge

The Department for International Trade required a bespoke CRM application (Data Hub) which was customised to meet its current and future business needs. Part of the suite of capabilities required was real-time dashboards based on business functions, gauged business behaviour and was underpinned by market/business information.

Our approach

Our UX Discovery & Research concluded that there was a key set of information and data that was needed by varying user types. We worked closely with internal stakeholders, travelled the UK to work with departments and held surveys and interviews with users in embassies across the globe. Validating our hypothesis we created and tested a comprehensive data-driven dashboard prototype, tailored to the information that was most relevant to their function.

Outcomes

We created a CRM solution and management information dashboard, which was delivered on-time and to budget. Enabling users to easily manage their content. Online transactions were timestamped and comments enabled so content changes were auditable.

We met the global strategy for this implementation which was to encourage collaborative authoring and synchronise business practices. A centralised location where end users can find and update relevant business data such as investment opportunities and guaranteed jobs.

We provided a complete cross-section of data by country, sector and finance. Clearly showing in real-time where potential investment opportunities and/or jobs arise, which could be acted upon.

Benefits

Users received a single integrated application to collaborate, share documents and carry out their everyday functions seamlessly. Bringing together real-time global statistics and data into one consolidated application, with CRM functionality, helping drive business decisions such as investment opportunities which led to guaranteed jobs. The roll-out of this management information desktop application was widely received very positively globally.
