Challenge

Create a useable insurance tool that allows the homeowner to easily catalogue all insurable items. Estimate item value and collect receipts - if they have them.

Allow them to get an insurance quote, and easily take out an insurance policy with Barclays home insurance. All in one app.

Our approach

We conducted UX Discovery and Research, including competitor analysis on other banks, financial service providers and insurers.We interviewed homeowners to understand the challenges of taking out home and contents insurance in the current marketplace and what they would like to be able to do better.

We interviewed stakeholders to assess company goals and project limitations.We produced and tested user journeys and the prototype.

We presented research findings and the working prototype to stakeholders for development.

Outcomes

A working prototype that was fully tested and ready for development.

We delivered research insights and recommendations for extended areas of functionality and integration in to other Barclays products.

Customer & Staff Banking Solution + Service Design

Barclaycard Germany needed to totally reengineer their credit card, loans and accounts platforms into a single, cogent platform for desktop and mobile for their customers and their banking staff. They also wanted their business processes and team structures measurably Service Designed for maximum efficiency.

HSBC Global Asset Management required a desktop portal application which would be a ‘one-stop shop’ for internal staff who need to fulfil their daily tasks. A personalised solution which encouraged collaboration, document sharing and personalisation. Bringing a corporate social networking experience to users. Sharing information, managing their data as well as a means to subscribe to applications via this portal. Giving each user a personalised experience.
